if you can mount servo,s in the rear of this one your the man,the stock location works great and then the fan mount behind them,it gets tight real fast,in the begining it looks like theres a ton of room and then things just become so tight, lol.

Managed to mount the servos in the vertical fin and stabs. It is really tight but it will work. Hitec servo in the vertical fin and jr servos in the stab.

I have just picked an interceptor up also. I will be using electric retracts and robart struts. I have an old dynamax electric fan that I plan to convert but I'm not finding many adapters in stock. Any suggestions? Would like to keep it cheap if possible.

Hi,

I am using Tam Jets conversion parts for my fan. I went with Dyna Rotor hub assembly and Dynamax motor housing conversion. I will be ordering motor from him also.

Good luck on your build. Looking forward to see your build.

I pulled her out of the rafters this weekend and decided to finish the project. I sold off all my larger fans for a turbine fund. My turbine fund went down the drain,
sewer line broke and had to replace 90 feet .

PIcked up a lightly used Stumax fan 110 for 12s. Plan to run a bell mouth intake and fully enclosed intake for comparison testing.

The outside diameter of the bell intake is same as inside diameter of the stock intake.

Well here we are two years later and mine is in the box too. However I did get a BVM 12s fan for it... So it should scream. I look forward to your build progress.

Found some time for building and the wings are coming along okay. Need to figure out servo placement for aileron and flaps and cut the servo bays.

I plan on lining the wheel wells Sunday. It is suppose to rain all day so I should be able to finish up the wings!

I got side tracked on another build. Plan on restarting the build in

done Interceptor is next.

The bird is back on the bench. I laid up new inlet. My first attempt
at making a plug and laying up the glass. It turned out okay, three
layers of 4 oz cloth.

Plan on installing a fan for cooling for speed controller. Wings
stabs and control services are ready for final sanding.

Excellent work! Are you looking at batteries going in the nose?

Fitted the top hatch and it was a real pain. It was to long and would not fit. I had to install a 1/8 former and grind off the glass to get it to fit. Mixed
up a mixture of West system epoxy and chopped glass to consistency of paste and added to the new leading edge of deck. Place wax paper on the fuse and pushed it up against fuse and let dry over night. New fit is perfect and hatch can easily be removed.

Trial fit the canopy and ordered a interior kit from Bob Dively models. Next step is to finish up intakes.

I changed my mind again! and decided to install servos for the elevators and rudder in the fuse. Rudder, elevators, and nose gear steering are Hi Tec 7245mg. Ailerons and Flaps plan on using JR 398hv servos.

Depending on rtf weight I would like to go with 11s set up first.
