Looks like fun RC project for DF or turbine power.

I'd seen this earlier, and d/f crossed my mind, but I have yet to find a view of it's derriere to gauge if the outlet is a reasonable size.Maybe one of the edf guys will take it on.

Stuart,

I suppose that it will suffer from the same problem as all semi-scale EDF planes: large unscale inlets/outlets. To keep the shape more or less similar, a small turbine like the Kolibri or the one of John would be better. Else, one could hide a small push-propeller. Nobody is going to see it in flight anyway ;-)

Another problem is to get enough information on the shape. I was not able to find a three side view. The best I could find was a scheme on BEA Systems' web page (at the top right):

Andres, looking at that you're probably right about the turbine thing.I would imagine an edf would suffer from the same side area in front of the cg issues as the HoX.
I must admit I never liked the idea of pusher prop jets-can't see the point of them

Am I one of the few people who like the look of this plane?
But I too would like to one day make a D/F version

Mike,

I think it looks interesting and a lot better than others (such as the X-47B), but I still prefer somewhat higher aspect ratios. There are just too many interesting wings to build...

Semi interesting What does strike me though is that website is clearly of the 'Mechanic Illustrated' type.
For techno noses pressed flat to the shop window imo :-)
Far too similar to the National Enquirer for me
