Question

Has anybody scratch built these RC acrobatic Kite designs from Singapore? Amazing!!

Hello all. I've been really interested in building an RC Kite and after much research I have definitely found the one design I would like to shoot for.
Check this incredible RC Kite out -
Pro RC kite flyer (1 min 35 sec)

That is a video to show how well this most advanced and popular design from Singapore flies. Its got all of the flight characteristics I'm looking for. Its flying capability is Hovering, Roll, Loop, Stall Turn, Gliding, Inverted Flying and Diving. Its called the Falcon 2. There is also a Falcon 1 design. The 2 is modified to be easier to fly.

These plans are not really sold anywhere that I can find since its a private modified scratch built from somebody who used to fly with that Nightflyer team in Singapore that made the news and flew on national day there. Then www.goflykite.com started selling similar kites to these as well but for well over $500 for similar advanced models close to the Falcon 2 version. www.goflykite.com sells their own models without US distributorship it seems and for big $. I found a blog site that seems to have gone dormant for the most part that was originally started by one of those RC Kitflyers (Nightflyers) that got a good bit of attention back around '09. Its the Falcon 2 in the first video and here is his personal video, photos and original test flight etc.

Is there any way to figure out the dimensions etc in order to build one of these from scratch? This site has many photos and I was wondering if anybody has ever seen plans or the google sketch up for this model if anyone has built one on this forum? I wish I could sketch it up but Im not familiar with how to do that in scale etc. Would anybody be interested in building one of these? It looks fantastic. Browse this site and the vids on youtube starring this beauty from Singapore.
Ahhhh Thanks Dave - Heres the thread for the Falcon 2 and some excellent others. Dave is the master flyer here wit hsome excellent builds.

servos can be a problem...often the elevons are big and heavy on these kites ...
one answer is to build smaller kites.. that's the way I am going at the moment..
small stuff, small rods , 10gm motors.. it all gets cheaper..
they are great for indoor flying and a good way to get a design sorted before making a large version
