Question

What size pipe?


Where to get a single wall, simple pipe sized for a Wren44 or P-60 size turbine? I need a 17" section minimum. I assume they would be close to the same diameter for these two engines? Whats the recommended diameters anyway BTW? I'm assuming they are about the same... Is it the same diam as the turbine wheel?

I already have an outer wall, I need an inner to complete my pipe.

Also where are fiberglass bypass sections for these sized engine?

If the Wren Pipe won't work for you... contact Tamjets. They make custom pipes.

As far as a bypass... I'm not sure there is one for the Wren 44. Check with BVM on that.

fly fly f-100 I think the p-60 ideally is one notch too big, but probably safely do-able. The 44 is perfect though and I really want that one.

I can make my own bypass, thanks for the idea though

If you don't have luck with what has already been put up on here then contact mickreevesmodels.co.uk in the UK he does custom ones at a good price.

Wren sells a single wall pipe made for the 44. You can shorten it to whatever length you need without affecting performance. Check Wren USA's website for details.

You can do it two diffrent ways... either fly it as a foamy, scale like speeds with a Kolibri T25 rear mounted, or reinforce and glass it properly and jam in any larger engine. I think the MW44 drops inbetween the chairs here... to heavy for tailmount and too little power to fly it if glassed in a proper way to hold up for the heavier load.

Still there are better choices then a P60 which is the most inefficiant engine RCJI have ever tested.

im sorry... But as the owner of the same model... This is not a very good idea. Putting a P60 in that thing would garrentee that the wings snap right off. I can see the wing tips wanting to touch each other on a gentle pull out. At high speeds the wings will flutter to no end. The wings would need to be reinforced with CF and sheeted and glassed.

The best idea is to put a T-25 in the rear as Henke mentioned.
