Cool. Should be a good one. It has the right bottom for it. Got my camera battery charged too.
I may be movin' a little slow tomorrow. I let my neighbor talk me into going to Mudgrunt and played in 4 games. My legs are getting sore already. I keep trying to tell him I'm too old for this

Since Ray's being stingy with his build pix I shot a few of it today.
Come to think of it, some video too.

What voltage is that running on?

I must have missed it in the thread somewhere.

Looking good Ray. You like those candy pieces a lot huh?

You should have came up today. The weather was a lot better than we expected it to be.

After 4 years of use and several hundred runs, it was time for some major maintaince. Water was beginning to enter the boat from the stuffing tube because I wore out the Teflon liner. Thankfully, I built the boat with a replaceable stuffing tube in mind. I also relocated the water outlets to the front deck and replaced the well worn servo and linkage with sturdier parts. While I was at it I also replaced the shaft and coupler with a very nice MBP unit. At the speeds the boat is now attaining I decided to pin the front of the hatch as well. I am happy to report that my Castle ICE 240 remains intact and functioning brilliantly after all this time and abuse, and continues to provide me with valuable data on amp draw, rpm, voltage drop, etc. Currently, the boat is averaging 67 mph in heat racing trim running a TP 4060/3Y turning M440 prop.

Steps? What steps?

Hmmmm, an m440 prop seems pretty small for a boat that size. I used that prop to push my little MeanMachine into the 60s.

Hi Jay,

This is my first experiment with the high KV/little prop combo, but it seems to work very well, although I have a limited 3 runs of data so far. Average amp draw is 165 with peaks in the 240 range. I expected the internal controller temps to go up due to switching losses, but they actually went down. I had another boat that needed the 1527/1Y I was running.
