Aeromarine Avenger36 - Team Believer

Presenting the new Aeromarine “Team Believer”

Well, it’s not really a “New” boat. Just an existing boat with a new hatch.

I was speaking with Brian Watts at Rocket City Racing several months ago and the subject migrated to the “SprintCat” hull from Aeromarine. I mentioned that the Sprint Cat .40/80 was a great boat, but left a lot to be desired in terms of conversion to an electric boat. The biggest issue with the SprinCat is that all of the electrics need to be mounted on the tunnel floor. There is not enough room to fit conventional packs into the sponsons.

The “Team Believer” hull on the other hand, with the same bottom as the SprintCat, has plenty of room to put batteries in the sponsons, but the hatch is virtually impossible to tape and leaves much to be desired in terms of “Aesthetics”.

I mentioned to Brian that the hatch opening for the Team Believer was only an inch shorter and an inch narrower than the hatch opening for the 42” Avenger Pro hull which is one fantastic looking boat.

Since Brian is one of the larger dealers for Aeromarine, I asked if he could speak with Remy at Aeromarine about modifying the Avenger Pro hatch to fit the Team Believer hull.

Here are some preliminary pics – I should have boat in hand shortly for more detailed photos.

Boat just arrived. Dimensions are a little different than the SprintCat. This boat is actually the advertised 36" length with a 14.5" beam. Here's a few more pics.

Just some masking tape to protect the sponson bottoms.

The skinny little Mystic hulls sure are pretty, but there is something to be said for a little "ROOM"!

Bill, I need to find out where you are getting all that foam you have been using!

I'm in full agreement with you on the "room" factor Ray. It makes building and placing equipment so much easier.

Unfortunately, the foam is a thing of the past. Chris was getting it from the dumpster of a business that was along his delivery route, and the business moved to parts unknown.

Finally got around to mounting the strut and rudder this morning Ron. Hey, seven days to drill 8 holes ain't bad. Well, I did have to build the standoff for the lip, and file down the shoebox lip to make everything flat.

The motor is a 1527/1Y.

Still have to attach the rudder and charge packs, but she's ready to maiden. Likely no graphics.
