Helimax Axe 100 CP

Wow! I have already had to replace the tail boom, a servo, and the swash plate. And I only took it out once. Does anyone know of any upgrade parts for this beast? Something that can handle a little more abuse? I am still learning and I know I will hit about a billion more things before I am truly confident in my abilities. Any advice on technique wont be wasted as well. I was told to start out by using a magazine (or similar) as a landing pad. To practice taking off and then going in a given direction. Then returning and landing. Then do this over and over. Forward, backward, left, right. Then when I am confident I should turn the heli towards me and practice again. Any other tips?

upgrade parts

i guess not. i have been looking for upgrade parts but have not found any. A guy at my local hobby shop told me to put a thin layer of superglue on the tailboom and landing gear and it has worked. I have had it for 2 weeks and haven't broken a part. Im learning as well.

Will going from a 100 to a 125 make a difference? Is there a way for me to tell if that will work without purchasing it first?

It looks identical to the stock one that comes with it so I would assume so.

I also broke the tail boom on my Axe 100 CP before even making it through my first battery. My fault for trying to fly my 2nd ever CP heli in my kitchen, I suppose. My Blade Nano CP X seems capable of taking a beating better than the Axe 100 CP.

When you say you are still learning, what level of experience do you have? I have flown numerous FP helis, but to start with my first CP helis, I've just been practicing holding a hover and getting a feel for how much more responsive the controls are. Flying around the room and coming back to a landing pad seems like quite a massive step for someone still learning.

Here's a look at my Axe 100 CP. And, if you're interested, check my channel for my Blade Nano CP X video about getting started flying a CP heli.
