The photos really do not do it justice. It is a piece of art up close!

Is that a dual-opening cockpit with uber-long canopy? Hard to tell from the photo.

Long canopies are a DP trademark.

Yep, 2 cutouts and long canopy. Also a 6-servo wing and detachable V-tail. All RDS wing as well.

For F3j/TD guys who aren't familiar with Baudis models, they are top notch work.

Please ... No more! I can't take it. The Vixen is absolutely beautiful. Did anyone that was fortunate enough to see the model at the AMA ask about the lay-up? Thanks for posting those nice shots S2000. I'm a little surprised that the ailerons don't continue through the tips?
I gotta have a Vixen... something is going on craig's list,...truck, house, dog, right arm, kidney? whatever I have to sell to own one....

I would suggest contacting SoaringUSA about Wednesday to get on the list, I spent part of Friday and all day yesterday with them and I am worn out, imagine a day of setup, 3 days of show and tomorrow it call gets put away, so Bob's crew may be a little pooped for a few days. The Vixen is well named, this is one good looking model, and it has a V-tail! Sweet!

Colors

Hi

Is that paint, if so what type is it, or is it colored epoxie ?

Thanks

I am sure it is painted in the mold, most if not all Juri Baudis models are done the same, and his craftsmanship is impeccable, I have some of his scale models and there is not a detail left unattended, the inside is as beautiful as the outside, rest assured you are getting the best there is.

I heard from Annette today. New Vixen is enroute, I'll have it by Friday. Look for pics and the beginning of a build thread this weekend.

Vixen

Best in show for me Daryl! I have always been a huge fan of Jiri Baudis's amaizing construction techniques too. I'm married but may get a Vixen on the side! :-)
