It looks like they finally listened to us and went with a Axis bird! I would have preferred a 190 but I'll get this!

How does 109s fly. I have flown 60 size P-47 1.50 size P-51 and 50 size spitfire, wondering how does it compare to these

most 109's iv flown flew good. gound handling is a little tricky but the real ones had the same issue. The look great in the air and im guessing that since the other Hangar 9 warbirds fly great this one will to. I say go for it

I agree my heart will always be with P-47's but I do love the German planes and the market is saturated with P-47's and Mustangs so this is a nice welcome change

My Kyosho 50 size 109 flys great. The problem with that one is the small wheels. 2.25" is the limit without major mods and it ends up on it's nose more often than not.
Looks like this one will be much better with the 3.5" wheels. Also looks like they are coming out with some 81 degree gear to get the angle right instead of just close enough.
The color scheme will have to grow on me though. Other than that it looks good. Glad someone at H9 looked around and noticed that axis birds DO sell. I have 4 in front of this one to build this winter, but it will make its way into my hangar.

NICE! And about time. The only things I'm not crazy about is the printed covering and the non-scale looking wing scoops.

Wheels look a bit on the small side as well.

Mixed feelings here:

-Beyond happy to see an Axis bird. Holy crap that was a shocker to see on FB a few min ago.

-Bumbed to see that corners were cut with a popular scheme and scale looks and bird with known poor ground handling which wil alsol keep sales low, and will thusly sales will be low. In the future, we'll be fighting for a second axis bird only to be replied with, "sales were low with the BF-109."And I'll be thinking..."Well duh."

I don't think the ground handling is going to be a surprise to anybody. Our expectations for this subject are realistic and as David E. has posted previously, you will likely continue to see Axis subjects sprinkled amongst Allied offerings from Hangar 9.

Is there a battery hatch on this 109? Nevermind now I see it.

Cool 81 degree retracts! Well done.
