Tom,
My test notes say 7830 RPM at 10.4A for the 9x4.7SF prop. Power for the test was a 3s Kokam 2000 SHD battery. I suspect I'm getting just a touch less on the 910s. An older set of notes say AXi 2212/34 with 10x7SF on 3s Tanic 1500s is 5100 RPM at the same current - 10.4A. These numbers would be a little higher on the Kokams. Yes, the motor constants for the AXi 2212/26 are very close to the Hyperion Z2213/24s. My test notes say that my AXi 2212/26, which is an early one, turns the APC 9x4.7 SF at virtually the same speed as the Hyperion but on about half an amp less.....Hmmmm....... There's the speed control variation to throw into this as well. The Hyperion tests were done with a CC Thunderbird-18 as it was handy and I've been testing it for its own sake. My notes say the AXi tests were done with a Jeti Advance 18 but I didn't write down which timing setting. Looks like I need to be more rigorous with this stuff. |

FWIW, my AXI is approaching two years old, and there was always confusion on the kV since literature that came in the box called it 840 kV in one place and 980 (or something like that) in another place. I was on the MM web site recently and it has been updated to include the new "Silver" line of AXI's as well as the old "Gold" line. It now shows the kV on the 2212/26 at the higher number. |

Himax help
My current Dandy Sport uses the Astro 010 in GWS 4.3 turning a 1070. I have a Himax 2816-890 outrunner that I was going to use in a 4S GWS Mustang. But this motor may be similar to the AXI in your Silent Afterburner.
What do you guys think of this setup: Himax 2816-890 Etec 3S 1200 Props - ??? |
