Build Service


I have decided to offer build service for people. I offer a very affordable price for a great build.

Here is what one customer has already said.

I own the Orange Xplorer4 that Joe has pictured in the above post. I was refered to Joe though a mutual flying friend. Joe did charge me a fair and modest price for the build but he did it more as of a favor to a new limited experience builder. The build was completed in a day and a half and he even programed my radio too. The test flights were spot on with only a few trim adjustments and the Xplorer is great. It cg's at 119 with no lead. His build was neat clean and mechanicaly simple. I would recomend his service. I used all MKS servos and a JR 921rx. Battery is a AA 4cell eneloops sold by Soaring USA. Brad

Hi Joe, just a hint to get a stiffer setup you can do as pictured below and tie at least one end of the wing skins together and/or even the spar. A side benefit is not having to use the thrid screw so you can have one of the tabs under the wing skin making easier access.

An even more effective way to tie the servo and the skins together, has better leverage and reduces both slop and risk of flutter. Can be done with a pre-cured carbon strip or plywood. Credit goes to Joe Wurts:



The main disadvantage is that if you need to remove the servo, you need to break the bond between the skin and the carbon/plywood, which is why the best way to glue it is with a few small drops of CA.

It needs to be glued to both the wing skin and the servo, otherwise its purpose is defeated.
