I like both cameras and they appear to leap frog each other with new releases....Contour was first with BlueTooth, GoPro first with Wifi and from what I see, each perform slightly better than the other in some conditions, so it's well balanced. The deciding factor for me was that fish eye effect on the GoPro.....even at 10ft the picture looks like you are at 40 mile above the earth admiring the curvature!

[QUOTE=Dr.Tom;24105067]I used 2826 and 2830 cheap rctimer motors for small gopro gimbal,
with 0.15 wire, 20 OHm to keep it cool, around 50% PWM power used @ 12V (3S LiPo)

Dr.Tom,
Can you tell us how many turns per pole you put on the RC Timer 2830 motor, please.
Peter.

Yeah, I'm itching to just make it myself.

Dr. Tom, thank you for all this insights, I felt like I can do it. But the thing is, even if I make the motors, the controllers are all on back order. Is it available in your area?

My bet is that they haven't filled the initial 300 orders so can't afford to get the batch manufactured. Probably why they've gone all quiet too.

If I was making the decision today about this one I wouldn't have ordered it given that their communication is so poor. At 30 days it might be wise if we all start a paypal dispute if we haven't had more news and communication. Perhaps we in Australia do business different but their lack of communication etc really effects their credibility.

agreed with the above.....

we don't care if it's late but just keep us informed....

I would rather a late functioning gimbal than an early POS

Well if it means anything, my order was number 371 so it looks like they perhaps did get 300+ for a batch order if that's what they are doing. That said, I'm going to fire off an email to request a proposed delivery date now that shipping should have commenced.

Where is it stated that they required 300 orders to begin with?
