I'm struggling to understand who's project this is? I've been over to the German site and got confused.

Are we just waiting for a full kit to become available, for the GoPro gimbal + controller that is?

If anyone can clarify that would be great, cheers!
This project is based on Alex Moskalenko's firmware and electronic design.
http://www.simplebgc.com/eng

He licensed his code to several manufacturers/vendors (can't tell about conditions).

Now we're all waiting what they come up with and when.
Some might offer complete kits, some might offer the rewound motors, others will have the controller.

Let's wait and see...

Still cannot compare to DJI yet, no matter how you move your stick, Z15 still can keep the position almost 100% like a rock.

DIY BLG just can reach about 85-90% performance of Z15, however, this is good enough for most of us who want to take some nice and usable footage without breaking the bank...

Affordable BLG is the way to go, I believe servo on gimbals will became history very soon...

90% performance at 10% the costs makes 100% for me.
Keep in mind that these are all prototypes atm.

btw.: There's a nice GUI to setup the Gimbal

Does DJI offer anything like this for their customers?
No - if you want to change a lense you need to send it in to DJI for a firmware adjustment.

Just like aerial filming in sunny day, once they uploaded to Youtube, can you tell the difference between 5D3 and NEX5N?

5D3 vs NEX5N = Z15 vs Alex BLG

I believe AlexMos BLG will as famous as Gopro brand soon, everybody can afford to have one because the price is only 10% of Z15.

When people think about action camera, GOPRO brand always come 1st in their mind.
When people think about camera gimbals, AlexMos always come1st in their mind.

I think flitelab asked for a ballpark price with not much of an answer back then -
@kinderkram based on what you wrote, is 350$ 'officially' in that area ?

I sent you a PM

Thanks for the PM. I think I'll hold off for now and see what comes out in completed for, I really don;t have time for another DIY project :-) As I understand it the German project is separate from the one AlexMos is doing, open source vs closed source/commercial.
