Yeah, not a good deal with THAT shipping cost! Last time I checked, AliExpress had them available for $70 bucks with free shipping if you can wait for the slow boat.

Cheers,

V912 Tx

Does the V912 Tx have multiple rate settings? I'm wondering how this Tx would work with my V939. I usually set my V939 Tx to 80%.

It has high and low. On my 949 low seems to be around 60% and high seems more like 110%, but I've only flown twice. briefly each time.

While deciding who to place the order with, as Jonboy already pointed out, this thread has highlighted a problem with damage due to poor seller packaging.

I collated the below summary from the V912 owner posts for my own purchase. Thought i would share seeing as i have it.

Seems Tmart, Helipal and ehirobo are the ones with the problem.

Update: I ordered mine from banggood based on the above and received what looked like a used heli with a European power adapter (None US). Cost me $38 to send it back . I wouldn't recommend banggood.

Guys, is it easy to replace the batteries in the V912 ?, I am going to join the club but unsure if I should order a couple of spare batteries at the same time.

I ordered a couple of extra batteries with mine. Changing is easy... all you do is remove the canopy and slide them out. The battery holder isn't all that tight on my stock cells.
Only downside is the "searchlight" comes out of the canopy really easy, and is a pain to slot back into it's hole. My led just sits loose inside the canopy now.

Going to take some photo's ...

LED no longer held in canopy

I have tried flying with the battery securely held (via double sided velcro) to the underside of the chassis to make cell changed fast and easy, but it changed the c.o.g. too much to trim out

I suppose it could be manually trimmed on the servo, but I can't be bothered to do that when it fly's so well as standard. TBH I shouldn't really be running 3 cells through it consecutively anyway. Guess I've still got an excuse to fly the quad after all!

Hey col1n, thanks for taking the trouble to post up the pics, they really are a great looking heli.

Cant help myself, need another bird like a hole in the head, order just placed with BG, the batteries are pricey little buggers though

Cheers

I know what you mean.

First impressions of the 912 (inflight) were that is was basically a bus version of a 911, but outdoor flight puts a whole different perspective on it - it's a much more precision machine with excellent tail hold and manoeuvrability. I have never flown one of the alternatives in this class (MJX series for example) but I'm extremely happy with my purchase so far...

Dx appear to have 2 compatible batteries for the V912.
The difference betwen the two is discharge rate. One is 12c the other 20c Anyone know what discharge rate the V912 wants?
