^eHirobo needs to do better with packaging as well. Mine was only wrapped in the standard brown shipping paper.

The v912 I got was purchased from:

http://www.hobby-wing.com/wl-v912-4c...opter-rtf.html

It came in a nice case instead of the cardboard box. Well worth it as mine arrived in great shape. They are currently out of stock...

^I think I saw that. How long did it take to receive your order?

Thanks for this info. This case looks impressive in the picture on their website

WLtoys V912 with 808#16 cam (8 min 31 sec)

949 up first, then 912 approx 1.45sec in. 808#16 attached with velcro to both birds.
Sorry about the state of the garden...!

I've been on the edge as to whether I needed yet another heli. I was flying my Walkera CB180d this afternoon, flew into some bushes, and broke yet another rotor blade. Those things are so brittle. Are the rotor blades on the V912 as brittle or can they handle some abuse? Anyone want to buy a CB180d and for that matter, a couple of CB100 helis?

I have crashed into stone walls, trees, and numerous other objects so hard that the cabin came off and the battery came out of its holder with no damage to my V912 other than fly bar dings on the tail boom. I always cut the power though when I see that a crash is imminent. Personally, I think this bird is even tougher than the V911s. A tough bird in my humble opinion..

That's what I thought. My V911 and V939 have their dings, but are virtually indestructible. I like the idea of the better TX that comes with the V912 and that I can use it with my other WL birds. Think I'll put my Walkera crap up for sale and wait for a sale on the V912.

eHirobo has the V912 for around 50 bucks. Best price I have seen. Not much more than a V911 RTF.

Good price, but then you pay a hefty shipping fee on top of that.

Its misleading. $50 for the bird then $40 shipping = $90
From my research helipad and banggood were the cheapest
helipad is $75 and Banggood - $79

Hi Jonboy
Can i ask where you bought the 808 #16 from and how much you paid.
TIA

Yes, that's it Col1n! Big enough to lift a camera, and small enough to maneuver in the back yard. Looks very stable too. By Jove I think you've got. If I were you I would head down the frog and toad to the rub a dub and have a pig's ear to celebrate. (hope you can appreciate my attempt at cockney rhyming slang)

Cheers

I did some reading on the 808 #16 thread:
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1556994

Which referred to this web site:
http://www.chucklohr.com/808/C16/index.html#111126C16

Which referred to a seller on EBay called eletoponline365. So this the camera I ordered.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-DV-DVR-...60857085707%26

It has the B style lens and an 8 GB memory card for $50 US. There are other configurations to choose from with different lenses or different memory sizes.

I didn't know what their shipping cost was. I ordered one from AliExpress for 53 bucks with free shipping on Jan 20th, so still waiting on the slow boat. I am on travel this week so I won't know until next Monday if it has arrived. Not sure what their price is now. I think it was around $70 last time I checked though.

Cheers,

Jim
