Looking at that those it seems obvious the Chinese are obsessed with UFO's and bugs. I don't know why. Had they been designed by Americans many of the canopies probably would of had a military theme. If they'd been designed by Japan, probably a robot theme (or Anime). It's a shame the Italians or Germans haven't jumped in there.

Of course Canadians would of made a puck canopy.

Italians did, and you should check my profile about that. For germans, the V949 canopy is directly inspired by the Robbe rebranding of the WK Ladybird, the "Blue Arrow Nano Loop".
Not to mention Frank Lachmund's TDR MQX canopy.

Darsh, I added your blog posts, completely forgot these, even though my v929 has the Fighter
I know there are other paper canopies as well, gotta hunt them down.

I'm going to group all of the canopies by style, instead of original craft, soon-ish, just gotta make up some layout that works. It's a shame tables aren't supported.
External site would work much better, but I'd like to avoid that if possible.

Sooo... I had more boring school wor... I mean, spare time, so I made the second version of the list. Had to ditch the forum post, but I sure the added features are worth the external page.
This also has the added benefit of making maintaining this a lot easier, as everything is in an excel sheet, and I get the table HTML code straight from the data!

So, I welcome you all to the next step of
The big list of small canopies.

John_Edward, you are the Charles Darwin of quadcopter canopies.

What's your favorite specimen of the bunch?

Nice collection guys, thanks! I would like to share my work: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&postcount=476

I wasnt satisfied with the stock Twister canopy, and I dont like too much the bug or UFO type as well...so I have made my own...(due Im quite new here, I need better visual help for the orientation...and the neon nose helps a lot!)

Looks like hobby king have made their own version of the WLtoys v929/v949, the HobbyKing Q-BOT, with a new twist on the beetle canopy design.
No spares yet.

Well, the UFOs get, the bugs look pretty cheesy though. I like the canopy on the WL V949 and V202 a lot better. And looks like they are learning, cause V949, V959 and V969 all have nicer looking canopies.

Yes, thats why I have made my own versions from a plastic bottle...
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1813462

For the better orientation I needed to have a body + nose.
