18" Albatros covering question

Hi all.

I am currently embarking on a build/ rc conversion of the Dumas 18" Albatros DV free flight rubber powered model.

This is my first balsa model and have never covered one before and this is where my question is based.

I am a stickler for scale looks and want a custom paint scheme on my model not the semi translucent tissue look that the kit has.

So whats the best method of covering this size model?

Tissue, dope and then paint? Or something like Coverlite in the base colour and then only small sections will need airbrushing???

Also whats easier...Tissue/dope or an iron on covering?

Cheers in advance!

What I did for the conversion of my 20" Sig Tiger, was just to use a regular glue stick, and just put the glue on the parts that touch the covering. It dries very fast, is easy and light.
