Hey man, no worries

My turn now... What's that headphone amplifier in the background of your pics?

Cheers.

My headphone amp is a Millet Hybrid MiniMax, a hybrid Tube, transistor amp.
Below it is an Audio-GD NFB-11 based on 32bit Sabre ES9018, and below that is the Digital Interface for Co-ax in-out.
So from PC, Spdif out-->Digital Interface(co-ax in-out)-->NFB-11-->to Logitech Z5500 console/interface for PC 2.1-5.1DD/DTS or NFB-11 L+R out to Millet MiniMax headphone amp to either Fostex T50RP or Beyerdynamic DT990 600ohm.
Important is the adionsoft WASAPI output dll for Winamp/Mediamonkey for best sound quality.
I have an Asus Xonar D2 soundcard... but I prefer to pump the audio thru all that
Perhaps a bit more than you wanted to know.... but there you have it.

Hey mate, thanks for the details.

Phew! I wasn't expecting that much complexity
But good sound is always worth the effort.
I'll have to look up the hardware you're using.

Sorry for my late response, I've been away a while.

Cheers!

Well then, I hope you've been away busily building your "Alien Spider" frame at last! or were @least taking a few money shots of her for us. hehe j/k

here's a few links if you want to check it out a bit..

The Hybrid MiniMax headphone amp is a really stunning sounding Amp. Much much better sounding than the NFB-11's built-in HP amp. Combined with the ~$100. Fostex TP50RP headphones (based on Orthodynamic technology) the Bass reproduction is skull shakingly, massively HUGE! (definately a Club/Concert experience)

take care

I'm back, and with a frame!

I received it a short while after my last post, but I've had a lot going on, and haven't been able to spend much time on the forums.

Unfortunately, It arrived with some minor damage, but nothing too bad to be fixed. The lower center plate had a bit of splintering, and separation of the CF layers at the rear left FC post. I injected CA in between the layers, and clamped it, and now it is barely visible.

Great build man!

The way you've mounted the 2204's on the X-mounts is brilliant!!! Was that a perfect fit? Fantastic idea!

It sounds light in flight too, as the 5030 props don't sound stressed at all. Do you have an AUW?

Love the flight cam mount too! Perfect fit. Also the silicone tube clean section is a great idea. Do you have a side pic of that? What plate have you used?

Did you buy the frame from GLB?

Inspiring stuff

Cheers mate!

AUW is short for "All Up Weight" meaning the weight, ready to fly.

Your idea to bolt up the Sunnyskys with the X-mounts is just brilliant! Can't get over that

Thanks Soma!

AUW with battery 3S-2140mA, is 490 grams.

Wow! That's what most mini FPV quads are weighing with a 3S 1500mAh pack!

I hope you don't mind another question... What's the 'Dry' weight. Meaning the total weight, with Mobius, but NO LIPO?

Cheers man.

Thanks mate. Very good weight!

Your scales might not be too accurate, but they have a smiley face

Cheers man, enjoy!
