Wahh - Love those Cowls. I'm on it. That cup cowl looks very good, but I'm sure it looks that way due to some major expenditure of time, molding and a heat gun (which I do not own). So it's the pepsi cowl for me. A nice little weekend project.

I got my dual IPS in last week and was able to run it once before non-stop 20 mph winds hit this area. I ran a 9070 prop which I learned is not ideal for that size motor. So I have a 11x47 on there now. My heavilied epoxy moth really needs the extra juice and I am very happy with the dual IPS - although I had to move the LiPo battery back a bit to level her out.

For forming plastic parts, do you need any special tools?

Thanks,

Vinnie,

I made a balsa plug and then used a heat gun. I tried the 2 liter coke/pepsi bottle, but they would not shrink up enough. I am going to try another size tomorrow. If it works, then my wife will have to drink a lot of coke/pepsi.

The 16 oz cup worked all right except it needs to be just a tad longer. This one is the prototype.

I looked on ebay a while back. There several vacuum forming machines on there a while back. Not a lot of money either.

Completly off topic, but also go to a parody site about all the teenagers on the internet that spell "the" "teh" and "here" hear". You know the people I am talking about..... http://www.somethingawful.com/jeffk
