My First Build - Can Someone Check My Parts List?

hello everyone!

I'm new here to rcgroups and new in the rc world. I had a good electric rc car if I was 9 but it was just buy and drive. You learn nothing with that.

My first big question was: tricopter or quadcopter but I decided to go tri because it looks more flexible, cheaper and cooler. I'm going to do SOME areal video of the area were I live but that's all so the most important thing to me is speed and the ability to react, to make quick turns and so on.

now I saw a video on youtube and decided to build my tricopter somewhat like he did. He mentioned the parts in the description but some things aren't very clear to me.

as far as now these are the parts I have chosen:

so this is:
speed controller
multi rotor flight controll board ( pre programmed? )
USBasp AVR programming device ( do I need this? )
10cm M to M servo lead
wires ( red and blue )
8*4 props
low voltage warner.

so that's around 87$
now i have a budget of around 200$, a little more if needed so if some parts of me are too cheap...

I think that things that I need now are:
3 motors, in the video he uses this and it seems to be very powerfull

1 servo, most guides say that it has to be a good one because it has to work very hard doing little corrigations all the time..

1lipo, in the vid he suggests: 3 cell 2200
is that good? better 4 cell? idk

1 transmitter and receiver. I know there's a really famous one on hobby king but I forgot the name :s

the frame i'll make my own unless there are some nice frame kits on the market?
not too fancy, the plan is to make it look like this:
Cheap easy tricopter build hobbyking rctimer hobbypartz (6 min 18 sec)

so my questions are:
are these parts all I need?
Do l need extra tools?
and then: wich battery, servo, transmitter and motors.

Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english, I'm from Belgium.

Yes you'll need the AVR programmer to update the KK2. You don't need the voltage alarm if you solder a wire into the KK2 it has one included.

Turnigy 9x is the tx you're probably talking about, you can also use the programmer to upgrade the firmware on that.

I'd look at either the Blueseries speed controllers or the HK ones (F-30A part number). These can also have their firmware upgraded and will give smoother flight if you do that. The turnigy plush need a different programmer to upgrade their firmware and it's not nearly as well tested.

As long as your motors and ESC's can handle 4S you can use a 4S battery, however it results in hotter running ESC's and motors but does give you more power/speed
