Little rough on the landing, thank goodness the wings have the plastic guards underneath, but nice hover!

Chuck I love your review of the yak. After its been out so long I
First ordering it after your review. I fly the t28 habu and extra 300 ( also after your video a few years back) will I be skilled enough to just fly the yak after being pretty proficient with these other planes? I like the vision air but the yak looks like its more substantial and I'm not a professional 3d guy only on my TV.

if you fly the planes mentioned well and with confidence you will have no problems at all. It is a bigger plane and flys that way too, on low rates it took off dead straight and was easy to fly. High rates do make it a lot more responsive so get used to low rates before you jump into high and also remember to keep it up high so you have plenty of time to recover after you fall out of your move if trying 3D that is. as a sports plane on low rates again rock solid, i think your gonna like the CZ Yak54 i was really surprised by it's fly-ability i am so glad i bought mine before the VisionAire came out as i would of been waiting even longer before i tried this great plane as my mate out at the chicken farm runway said "if he crashes this one he'll buy another" and he is an imac guy flying 100cc planes oh he ordered his one as soon as he saw mine i can't believe i don't read more about this plane

cheers chuck

I'm fortunate to have a long runway and plenty of space in which to fly.

My regular model of choice is a 50cc Yak, but I like this Visionaire a lot.
Yes,it's a park flyer, but I might enjoy one with a 60 inch wingspan or larger.
Anyone else, or am I alone in this?
Your thoughts?

Smaller!!!!

That wasn't even an ption?

I am hoping they will offer the 540QQ 280 with the AS3X technology.
Something that is larger than a micro but smaller than the VisionAire.
I was a bit disappointed that it was not introduced with AS3X being that it is a recent offering
in the 3D field. My guess is they were trying to keep the price down.

Can't fly 3D for toffee ...

OK, I'm in! What Phoenix model is similar?

I HAVE ORDERED

OK, I kept saying I would but it feels good to have done so. I was originally going to get a 3DHS Edge 48" but, in my heart of hearts, I knew it was a lot of cash and I have no skills when the inevitable repair is needed.

Thanks again to Chuck for showing how a 'non 3D' bloke can fly it nicely and how it handles the wind, thanks to Colton for the videos of what a pro can do and, of course, thanks to Quique for designing it and inputting invaluable advice in this thread. These are the three principle things that have given me the confidence to go ahead.

I mainly fly a T28D and an Sbach 3D UM. My aeros are ratty and my 3D work non-existent (apart from harriers and elevator landings with the Sbach). I am hoping that the Visionaire will give me the platform to help me learn some nicer looking sport aeros as well as some 3D.

Does anybody have an idea what aircraft in Phoenix would be the nearest to a Visionaire to practice on? I have been using the Kyosho Red Bull Edge 540 because it is so easy that even I can hover it. However, it's so twitchy I have to keep it at 70% rates and I cannot believe the real model can be as easy to do some manoeuvres on. The Acromaster, of course, looks very similar but it seems to have little stability for low speed work. The Max 3D (aka Weston Hype) is great fun at the low speed end. Input from those with Phoenix and a Visionaire would be appreciated.

i reckon and it's not foam, but flys like the VisionAire is the PA Addiction, it's what i use to practice with

be interested to hear from someone else who flys the VisionAire, has Phoenix and can compare to the Addiction

cheers chuck

You could put the AR6350 in your little slick, or simply add a Eagle Tree Guardian....

VisionAire Is Great!!!

My buddy and I each got one and have been flying them this week. The maiden was a dream as it took off smooth and straight. It only required a few clicks of right aileron and she flew straight and steady. After landing, I made the mechanical changes to the ailerons and all the flights since then have been fantastic. Like Chuck t showed in his video and said, this baby flies like on a line and responds very good with no twitches. On 3D mode, simply by flipping the gear switch from 0 to 1 on my DX8, she flies harriers, inverted, and all the 3D moves without a hitch. I always seemed to be fighting my AS3X on my UMX Sbach to maintain a hover. The VisionAire AS3X works with you, not against you. Best plane I have ever seen from Parkzone. Easy flyer and has become my favorite at the flying field.
