I have gening d90 the digital metal gear bb type and overlander 40amp esc with 3amp bec. In the manual they sugest a test of stiring the sticks fully for 3 min and then feel the voltage regulator (bec) to see if its hot as if it does the voltage could drop, well I have telemetry and monitored it. My bec runs at 5.2v and only dropped to 4.9v (ar635 opperates down to 3.5v) so all good. I then felt temp of esc and it was barely warm and althought the manual dont mention to I felt theservo case, the only one with exposed lower was rudder in my slick and again was barely warm either so hopefully my gears upto it.

Ill be messing with the settings some more and testing on sunday if it aint snowing heavy as forecasted.

While this isn't empirical data or anything, in my conversations about this airplane with Quique, I haven't seen him this excited about anything, except maybe when he won the F3A World Championships. I can't wait to get my hands on one.

Thanks for setting it straight. If I don't like what somebody's flying, it's none of my business. I'm too busy flying.

Been waiting for something like this for a while, 3D, park size, foam, takes 2200 batteries (of which I have many), gyro stabilization for flying in a bit of wind.

Anyone know when these are expected in Australia? Put me down for one!

If you guys, who managed to get this plane already, can manage to doppler it sometime at full throttle, I'd love to know how fast this plane can go. (I know it's not designed to go fast, I'm just very curious.)

If that doesn't convince people what AS3X can do to settle down a light airplane in strong winds, then nothing will.

Thanks for sharing the video. I will say that the winds did seem gusty, but nowhere near sustained speeds of 30mph. The trees weren't even moving.

Either way, for a big hunk of foam it did seem to be pretty stable in the wind. I am glad HH has decided to move the as3x tech to a bigger model. I love my little beast 3d in the wind. Its the only micro I still have.

Thanks for sharing. You have such a beautiful flying location! The plane looks like it handles the wind very well!
