Rudder and trimtab

Courageous

Trim tab arm connected closer to servo center.
Thus rudder moves major and trim minor.

Cool!
I'm planning a race between Courageous and Australia II too.

Still figuring out my next project. Might build Columbia US16 in the same scale as the other two boats.

Update from Sweden

Hello guys,

Some news from Sweden.

I have had a carpal tunnel operation and been out of commission for a while.

I will off course finish Courageous, but since I have not been able to work on it, I started my next project.
US55 Stars & Stripes from 1987. I'm reverse engineering the hull shape in SolidWorks, since I didn't have the frames on the drawing.

I also bought a 3D printer large enough to print my 12mR's hull sections.
I'm printing my new Marblehead design right now.

Cutting edge

Nice work Lars!

Fun to watch today's technology with yesterday's designs.

My 12's on hold.

Merry Christmas

Thanks Dean,

Merry Christmas to you too!

If everything works, the Marblehead will finish printing on Monday. I will make sure I can start printing US 55 by then. still working on the CAD model

My wife worked evening shift today, and I spent a couple of hours (quite a few) and 3D modelled this boat. I hope you guys can see what it is.

Since it's not my designs, I will not share the 3D data. If you want the 2D drawings that are widely available on the Internet, I will help you find them.

I ordered the drawings for US 55 and Liberty today!

Feels really cool! Can't wait to get them in the mail.

Australia II's tail is printing fine.

OK, I will think about it.
Feels not right to spread 3D files of a design that is not mine.
