Worked on the paint job again today. Almost ready to start wet sanding and polish again.

Also did some more work on the rig this afternoon. Beautiful weather here in Sweden today. Wonderful to be outside.

Removed the mast foot and cut away some balsa wood, and replaced with thickened Epoxy resin.

Travelling again this week, but getting closer to a test sail. I might borrow the sails from Columbia, to be able to sail her.
Will measure and order sails soon.

How's Kookaburra II coming along?

Looking great! I will do a scale deck on my next boat, made from the mold I'm planning in the fall.

I'm working on the rig, winch system etc. I will repaint my deck. Will post pictures or a video.

I visited a buddy who is a sailmaker today. Got Main and Jib rough cut. I have to finish them this Easter weekend, but fun to be this far along. Almost test sail time! One more week? Hopefully soon anyway. The main is made with a hefty curve, to allow me to sail the boat with a bent mast, like the original.

Thanks Dean,

I know this one will not be 100% scale, but I'm really looking forward to sailing this boat.
I plan to make a mold from this boat, and also a more scale looking deck.

Thanks,

Lars

Tested the main sail on the mast today. I will have to change the curve on the sail a bit to better fit the mast.
Will work on that tomorrow. 4 days off. Feels great.

Got the mast curve adjusted on the main today. Easter egg hunt with my nephews will take the rest of the afternoon.

Main looks pretty good. I will work on it more tomorrow.
