Canopy for 1/12 Tamjets F-16

Can anybody help me?

I need a new canopy (the clear plastic) on my Tamjets F-16 Tigermeet 1/12 scale.

where can I buy this?

I have searched quite a lot, without any luck...

Thanks, Jes from Denmark

This is a good forum to see if there are any available but you may be out of luck because the plane has been out of production for several years now. You could always create a mold and vacuum form your own if all else fails. Another option would be to look for a canopy on a similar size model.

another option is if you can remove the old canopy and not destroy it, you can send it to he can make them for you from your old one and is very reasonable cost wise. that is what I would do

it's possible/practical to fit a wooden block in the canopy hole of the model then carve it as a wooden version canopy. Insrt the finished shape into a suitable size clear plastic drink bottle.. apply heat = Instant canopy.
This new one won't break nearly as easily either :-)
Not quite as easy as said, but not much harder either. Often wastes a couple of empty bottles on the first try.. that's normal, but those are free.
