Sounds like he just received the base kit less WTC (see 2nd post).

AIYA! Just for the heck of it totaled up a what-if scenario on Ark's website for what is needed for an RC sub plus torpedo system & almost hit $1800. Their product detail appears to be the same boilerplate you see with their other product so can someone offer more detail on what to expect once this hits the market in supposedly 5 months.

BTW, when you speak with Feng would you mind asking when the Yoshino kit will be ready?

Sorry I wasn't allow post all photos now,but I can describe parts, the hull content of 6 parts ,with some inside bulkhead, assemble with some screws, glue is almost unnecessary.material is ABS plastic ,not resin or fiberglass.I have seen the WTC in ARkmodel R&D center, but still not get it.
I think after I finished my trumpeter 200 bismarck, arkmodel will finish test wtc,and send it to me.

Given a chance I'll probable just get a basic kit and build it as static display with provisions for RCing later using commercially available or homemade parts. No way i'm
spending $1800 USD!

BTW, What material is the prop made out of?

Yes,basic kit is enough.prop is made by abs, maybe nylon, seems strong and durable enough,of course I hope they can supply brass props.

A friend of mine sent me photos of the master pattern from a CNC mold shop in Hangzhou he utilizes for industrial design prototyping.

Sounds like that kit may never see the light of day from what was posted in the Sub-Driver forum:

The bad news is! Arkmodel looks like it's tangled in all sorts of litigation. There will be no USA manufacturing. I have it from a very reliable source. Pity! But move along folks! Nothing going to happen here! Caveat Emptor!

That is quite OK. Dan Kachur is putting the finishing touches on his new 1/48th Type VIIC kit. From the photos he has sent me it is a VERY impressive model. It is one of the finest efforts in modeling I have ever seen in my life. It should be released fairly soon...
