Video : 3rd Flight after 40 Years

Hi Guy..

From Thailand.

I just want to share only 1 clip that i filmed on 31 dec 2012. and the last from this olddie planes with olddie os 40 FP. My old man (70 Years Old) just get back with Control Line after 40 Years.

First two flight was a good flight, I was surprise what he able to fly just after the plane took off. And more than that my old man was so happy with that. Great memories was return.

At the day, he plan for 10 flight, but no luck on that. It's too windy and the plane is not fully perfect. The flap were bent that was my old man told me. The plane were crash , the engine left for only a spare part. But it is worth for me to see this wonderful flight that I never seen before.

So I am cheer him up for the next rebuild plane and continue for what he love and enjoy.

Go go Dad!!

Control line 3rd flight after 40 years (3 min 7 sec)

Very Cool! Looks like he was having fun!

It's a shame about the crash though. Hopefully he will build a new model soon.

Ooouch! I hate that sound of impact. Never the less, it looks like the ol' boy has still got it. Good flying. He knows what he's doing. And your camerawork was great. I usually stand my camera way back on a tripod to film the whole circle. That works pretty well for me.
Thanks for posting that, and welcome to RCGroups.

Thank you very much

right now, my dad is rebuild the plane. Because he will have a show on 10/1/2013 , but not sure if he will finish it in time or not...

I also planning to get 1 C/L plane, but will modify for Electric. Thought it might easier to start...

I love that cloud of dust it's blowing back as it rips off down the runway with the wheels an inch off the ground.

Glad to see that your father had fun, Saab2, it must keep him feeling young. If I should ever find myself in your part of the world, it is good to know that there are still CL fliers and my planes would feel at home.

The look in your father's eyes captures the looks I saw in CL flyer's eyes when I was first exposed to it, and tremendously impacted by it, at the age of 4. Calmness and intensity. The combination of 2 interesting emotions it ultimately provides a lasting calmness and thus, a great meditation. I like that best about CL flying.
