It is water based like poly. Having watched the video, only diff I see is they says the first coats dry in about 30 min. From my experience, first coat of poly takes longer than that. However, successive coats of poly dry faster. Don't see a whole lot of diff. I'm like Ace, probably just stick to messy epoxy and glass although I will throw in the occasional poly/glass bird.

I do most of my building/engineering/designing on the fly by the seat of my pants. Hence the mistakes. Been working on getting that area on the aft end of the wing close to the plastic model. Has taken me forever it seems but is getting close. I sometimes have a real problem "seeing" what I want. Anyway, here's what I'm doing now so I can skin this section.
Oooops... forgot the pics.

Ace, what is the source? I used this in the past and liked the results but found it quite expensive.

Thanks Hans

I'm trying. Finding mistakes in my formers as I go( I had some in the wrong spots... duh) and fixing them slows me down some. Here's the skinning from this afternoon.
And you know there will be a whole lot of sanding after the skins are on.

Here is the direct link. I made a mistake on quantity. It was two quarts which is part A +B so even a better deal. One thing to note. It is happier in a more humid environment as it is moisture/air dried. I'm in the desert so it took longer to harden. When I use it again I will use humidifier in my shop.

Ace, thanks! I used it also successfully on balsa after spackling the surface. Works great!

Woody,
I had planned on using the same system of tubes on the fuse but after checking the trailer I decided to NOT separate it. Makes things easier and lighter. I've already glued the two sections together. Forgot to mention that.

she's looking good J

I would be moding that trailer a bit by adding a small deck to the front of it. Some 2x6, ply & U-bolts would probably do it.

Hans,
All that foam is almost gone! Used up. Need to get some more.

Pinky,
I'm planning on taking the trailer over to the local welding shop and having them build a cage on the front.

Not much going on here except for more skinning. Finding I screwed up on the front formers and am changing them out as I get to them.
I would like to get this top skinned so I can make the canopy plug. The plug will be sent to Sparky, no way I'm going to fight forming it. It is over 16" long and that's just too much for my equipment.
A few pics of progress.

BG J, she's a big baby! OK, suitcases and luggage have to stay inside to get the foam.
