Had to take time to recharge my batteries. Attended the Perry GA Model Show/Swap Meet. Got a CMP 73" ws P-40 with split flaps and Sierra retracts, a set of Ziroli F4U Corsair plans, 93" ws, for $10. Other misc items. Then headed south and spent some time in FL. Heading back now, be home tomorrow and back on the build to finish this 16 soon!

Yes, the Corsair is pretty big. Don't know of course when I will get around to it. But I have plans!
We're back in Perry GA again, broke the trip up into two days. We take our time anymore traveling, slowing down with age I suppose. Besides, what's the hurry? Oh yeah, I have a F-16 to finish.
I do have some pretty neat plans on finishing it. It should "scale it up" quite a bit. Plus, knowing how well it is going to fly makes taking the time to do it right even more fun.
I do think the first thing I need to do is remove the power system and inspect it for a bad solder joint. That sputtering on the second launch is a little disconcerting and needs to be addressed. I did change props to a 13x8 APC-E to get the 900 watts. Once that is figured out it is balls to the wall. We have only about 6 weeks before SEFF and I have several other things to get ready.
I also have a plan to make packing these birds for transport that will make it easier and safer for them. I'll show that later when I get into it.

Looks like you are getting al the bits together Hans.

I've spent most of my time cleaning it all up. I have to sand the whole upper side of the plane down to make sure it accepts the panel line tape. Really just a rub down with 400 grit. Then clean it good and apply the tape.
I'm keeping the panel lines pretty simple of the stabs, wings, and vertical. The fuse is going to be a bear with all those mid fuse panels.
I have the vertical and one wing panel done. The dark gray areas are 3 mil vinyl I'm using to simulate access panels. I'll primer over, sand, and then strip them off. Later I sprayed them with high build gray primer. I will let dry overnight and then wet sand so that I can strip the tape free.

Thanks Nut,
But really not sure yet. The last one at 1/10th scale still looks good to me. She's hanging from the ceiling. Nose on the new one is a little better though. Here are pics of the 1/10th scale for those you have not seen it.
