DJI M Waypoint installation problem
Hey guys... I bought a used dji waypoint set up and I'm putting it in my s-800. The part I'm having problems with is installing the cd on my computer. I have a pretty powerful PC, so it has nothing to do with performance issues. I had google earth installed on my computer prior to installing the dji software and google earth worked perfectly fine. After installing the contents of the CD on to my computer things started acting weirded. Google earth stopped working... it would not show the globe once it has been opened and i would receive an error message saying google can not connect to server. For some reason I also can not get the waypoint software to work either. After opening the dji ground station icon it takes quite a while for it to load and after a minute a window pops up saying "you have either a bad Internet connection or you need to re-install the google earth driver from the CD (which i have done twice now). After that sign pops up nothing happens, the map never appears. I have restored my pc back to factory settings 2 times, thinking that some other program is keeping it from functioning, but so far no luck.... Is it possible that the contender of the CD might be corrupt and there for causing a total crash of google earth. Keep in mind after installing the dji software, google earth is permanently damaged... Un-installing it and re-installing it does absolutely nothing. I had to completely restore the computer to get google earth working again. Let me know if you have any advice. Thanks and to all a happy new year.

DJIs installer messes with the google earth connection. I am working on a software fix that will patch it up, ill probably get it done tonight.
EDIT: Done. Will fix the google earth stuff with dji groundstation. Download it here: http://www.flyingcameras.ca/download..._djigs_fix.zip |

This has been discussed on Wookong thread. There is a line in the programing that points to a server in China. Remove that and it works without issues. I have not made that correction, mines works but it is on a netbook that is not powerful. I never had Google Earth installed before. I would recommend that you remove Google Earth and reinstall the DJI Ground Station. Also note that the Ground Station will not connect to the WKM unless they are at least 6M apart.

Bug fixQuote:
Thank you for the quick reply. The fact that google earth is affected by the software although highly anoying, its not my main concern. My real concern is the fact that the dji program isn't working. After opening It the globe doesn't come up and it shoots me an error message saying I need to reinstall the google earth plug in. I'm desperate for this to work, I bought a 1000$ computer hoping that would solve it. What do you think |

Yes, you just download it, run the app, and click a single button and it fixes the problem for you.
You can read the instructions if you want that came with it... but its pretty straight forward |

Will it fix my problem with the GCU as well or just allow me to use google earth when the DJI software is installed ? Thanks |

It only fixes the issues with Google Earth in the DJI Groundstation software.
What problems are you having with the GCU? |

Fixed my problemQuote:
So I got my problem fixed by some thread on multirotor forum. If you click on this link and go to the very bottom, there is a thread showing steps of how to eliminate some GCU issues. http://www.multirotorforums.com/show...eyed-out/page2 But now I'm experiencing yet anoth road block. I can't get the unit to link up/shakehads. Will I not be able to linkup the hardware unless I get the S/N from DJI ? |

Yes, it will not link until you enter in the serial number. None of the WKM units I have had actually had the single waypoint preprogrammed.
