It would just lead to all the dead end arguments about altitude and beyond LOS.
A FPV chatroom would work but not on this site.

I dunno, when I want to chat, I just want to chat, and don't care if it leads to dead end arguments. Are there chat room functions on rcgroups' website? I'm not seeing one on quick glance...

TeamSpeak was a good way to talk when in game type areas to get everyone on the same page. FPV groups could ... maybe... be the same if the hard core "dont do that' stays in the lobby as others need help understaning new tech or upgrade what they have.
Running such a room may need its own over-viewer Mod to boot users if/when they get out of hand.
It works very good if the user base lock the channl after a group logs in. leave the lobby open for the new guys and invites with passwords to the "Same type" groups from the lobby.
Open com's .... never did that good when we used them.
2cent...

It wouldn't be a bad idea - it's almost impossible to get an answer to questions in the FPV forum as it is. You ask a question and it gets dropped to the 3rd page within hours, and we all know that anything not on the first page or two is forever lost in obscurity.

That's not really a complaint as it's just acknowledging how popular FPV is. Maybe a whole FPV board is necessary, much like the Multirotor board?

FPV Talk
FPV Electronics
FPV Scratch-built Electronics

or something along those lines. That might help folks get better answers and/or the help they need.

As long as it doesn't get spammed it's a great idea. It would be nice to get quick answers to FPV questions, where question threads quickly get buried by the multi page ones.

That's not a bad idea at all - hopefully we could add stickys to answer commonly-asked questions. Not like newbies check them first (just check the Batteries and Chargers board), but we could try.

There is a chat section on the site. But because its not on the front page a lot of people dont know about it.
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/chat.php

Im there most of the time and the group of guys that are the *usuals * are extremely helpful, fun to talk to and are electronics geniuses ( well at least compared to me)
