My version's AUW is 10.82g with a 1.4g battery. It's a laser cut kit with a 6mm coreless motor & a 37mm prop(maybe v911' tail). Attached several pictures FYI.

I bought my Mini Vapor with the intention of "ripping the gut out," but have'nt gotten around to it yet. I never really liked the Vapor style of airplane any way, but have purchased 2 of the original Vapors to give away to friends as gifts to get them into the hobby.

Same for me mutcake!
Actually proceeding on a stalled project that was intended for my Plantraco gear: Peck Polymer peanut Zero. Now for MV guts obviously
I'll make it a slow build and enjoy the MV as much as I can in the meanwhile. I don't think it's flight characteristics can be beaten as an LRF. With that I mean: if you'd put the guts in a scale plane..

And besides, I got the MV as a Christmas gift so it would be rude to intently tear the model apart for a balsa model. :P

Hi,
this is my MV-mod. 70 cm span, 10.5 dmē area, 13,2 gram with the 30mAH cell. Rudder only, up or down is done by throttle-managment. My intention was to get a really slow plane. I would say, that i reached that target. My living room is about half a meter too short for relaxed lrf, but in a gym i simply trim the rudder and let her go alone.
Have fun

VERY NICE, Stephan! more than triple the wingspan and only adding 4 grams. What film did you cover it with? Are your flight times about the same or did you get an increase with the slower air speed?

My Mini-V is still too new and enjoyable to fly right now but a standby airframe like yours might be enticing to build. Did you save your MV airframe without damaging it?

TIA-Steve

Hi Steve,
flight-times are much longer, but i didn't measure the time yet. I guess, it's about twice the flighttime. The new one was covered with some old WES-film i found, not sure about the specific weight, because they sold 2.2 gram and 7 gram/mē. The MV-airframe shows only small damages from ripping off the guts, easy to fix.

Hi Stephan,

great plane (and a big one too), hope to see it soon. A Hilti should easily solve your problem with the living room ;-)
