1992 Toyota Camry XLE Major Maintenance!
Out of break down more like it!
After 417,000 miles the original Fuel Pump in the Gas tank finally gave out. I am experienced with my car for over 20 years but, this one really left me scratching my head. I checked all Fuses, including the AM2 that is the Ignition and Fuel pump and even replaced the entire Distributor (Cap & Rotor had been replaced recently) and nothing, it just did not want to crank up.
Well, it appeared that the Engine experienced some sort of high back-fire explosions internally due to the Fuel Pump operating in a irregular manner and caused the timing belt to stretch (after trying to start the Engine so many times.)
Here is today's mileage: FYI...ENGINE HAS NOT BEEN REBUILT
