Nice flight bro, i see you got 808 keychain cam. You feed live video from there & at the same time makes a recording? How did you feed 5V into those cam?

Both my drifter is no more a park flyer, they are excellent long range plane. Last week trimmed all the wiring, downgrade the ESC from 30A to use lightweight HK 18A ESC, remove some electronic redundancy, remove bullet connectors, remove anything that is useless on the plane to keep it lighter and longer flight time. Now i get floatier planes that does 2~5km range on 1000mah 3s as main. Both now on RTH Arkbird. Thinking putting a teddybear with movable flight stick for funny cute scalish looks.

#16 keychain cam av-out and 5v in cable modify

I use 5.8ghz 200mw av transmitter diy module.

This module simple and light but transmitter range just about 800m.
So my drifter used park fly FPV plane.

and more

I modify #16 keychain cam av-out and 5v in cable use 2.54mm pin header.

Like a my attachment image.

This soldering work not a easy but usefull and easy connect av-out and 5v in.
Be careful when soldering remove battery connect on the cam.

I'm planning to get keychain type cam 808 #16 with D-lense as FPV cam like yours. Will i able do recording at the same time view as my main FPV cam. What happen is the memory card is full? Will it shut off by its self like gopro?

You can set up loop recording.

#16 keychain cam set up loop recording.
So when memory card full, keychain cam record overwrite old file.

And more gopro did not shut off when memory card full.
I had experience this case when I flight with gopro cam.

What do you use prop size on your drifer?

More image attach for you.

Cool, i think i need to get #16 soon. My sony Bloggie burned out during onboard recording so this key cam could be potential replacement but cons on 60FPS.

Btw i'm using stock prop that comes with drifter. I still love that prop so no plans to change.

I don't know stock prop size because My drifter kit version.

#16 cam quality is not very good.
But light weight and small, So easy place on RC plane.

And more My drifter kit version. So I don't know stock prop size.

You mentioned previously you use 5.8Ghz 200mw vtx DIY module, is it powered 1s (3.8v)? I wonder how you can hook a 1s to Storm OSD to monitor vtx voltage?

I use 3.3v regulator.

I use lm1117 3.3v regulator for 5.8ghz module.

12v to 5v use ubec and 5v input to lm1117 regulator.

And another method use 3.3v ubec it's sell hobbyking.

If same battery with power and av transmitter, you just connect av signal wire to av-in pin on 5.8ghz transmitter module.

U got picture on lm117 3.3v regulator? I've been googleling around the lm117 3.3v regulator but it looks like 3 pin transistor. Did you make one or is there ready made for this, HK 3.3v ubec is great stuff but looks messy since I already have another 12 to 5 Ubec strapped on the plane to power frsky rx and rth osd. I need to eliminate 1s lipo powering my nano 5.8ghz 200mw (use 3.3v) + mini fh18c cam (use min 3.6v ~ max 5v) but cam needs higher than 3.3v.

You just simple soldering wire to lm117

Lm1117 have 4pin.(sorry not a lm117 )
3pin front and another 3.3v rear.

use 5v from bec to lm1117 5v input pin
and regualtor 3.3v out to 5.8ghz module.

Finally my second drifter installed with Arkbird OSD with RTH. So both Drifter Ultralight have reached its full perfomance as best light weight scale FPV platform with bunch of cool FPV goodies. My next mods will be installing strobe lights.

Your setup very good for fpv.

I use storm osd.
Arkbird OSD more good than storm.

Last weekend I flight my drifter.
Here my flying video.
