New Jeti Spin Pro 80/100/160 SHED Slim ESCís w/5A BEC

After talking for last 3 month with Jeti engineers, we just finally received, brand new Jeti Spin Pro 80A, 100A, 160A ESCs SHED (Slim/Hotliner/Electric Ducted fan). They are all good up to 8S with 5A/5.5V switching BEC, fully programmable with built in data logger and very narrow, 27mm wide architecture. Also price is very competitive and as you know all Jeti products have 2 years warranty and 50% replacement policy.

Check out the size of the capacitor on the 160A ESC.

Zb/Esprit Model

Jeti Spin 80 $120.00
Jeti Spin 100 $135.00
Jeti Spin 160 $175.00

I wanted to know if the brake is programmable as the 99 and the 125.
Are programmable with JetiBox?
Is there a manual that I can see to appreciate its characteristics?
thanks
Gory

Can I use the 160 pro with a separate receiver battery? If yes how do I do it?
Thank you

Thanks for your reply which is exactly what I thought but the response that I got from Jeti
Quote:
it is possible to use puffer battery with S160 BEC.
Use Schottky diode to separate both power sources.
did nothing but confuse me, clearly something got lost in the translation so I am still wondering if it is just a simple case of removing the red wire or is there more to it.

Stu,
Removing the red wire should be OK. It sounds like Jeti are talking about having a buffer battery and the BEC connected together by 2 forward biased diodes which will prevent current flow from BEC to battery and vice-versa.

Mark.

Thanks for your reply Mark. Having had a further drawing from Jeti it seems that you are right as it shows the connection to the rx as still having all wires connected and still using a separate rx battery. I'm getting pretty close to testing this thing so we'll soon find out for sure.

Thanks again

It is good news, you have no inflight problem. You are not happy with your esc?
I buy my first phasor race, but I have not used yet. I will use cc phoenix when my backfire arrives, good luck with your issue

Is this the device you use to read log from esc?
