Found a photos of a plane that has an engine configuration resembling that of the Me-262. Would be nice as an RC plane as well.

Skill testing question: Its name ? Hint, only one jet version was made.

Aerostar 601P. Probably would make a good flier as a model.

I knew you guys would get it quickly..... it is the Aerostar.

I don't recall ever seeing it modeled as an rc plane and I agree, it would be a good choice by the manufacturers. A prop version, say 1600 to 1700 mm wing span, and making it convertible into this jet version as well by providing the nacelles for us to play with and soup up to fast speeds. The fuselage would give a good amount of room for stuff as well.

By the way, the prop version is featured in the movie American Made available on Netflix.

I did the maiden flight on my Me 262 V2 this morning. Having read the posts on this thread I did the take off with no flaps, she rose off the ground on her own a sight to behold ! I made three circuits of the field then throttled back and lowered the gear, once lined up with the runway I deployed the flaps and did a perfect no bounce touchdown! I am now looking forward to flying this plane on a better day weather wise !

Very nice! Weiss 3... Stigler's JV44 Ride, sometimes [incorrectly] credited as Galland's plane. I like it!!!

Congrats on your successful maiden. Good choice on eliminating the TO flaps. The plane does practically TO and land itself. Great warbird aerobatics too. What's not to like!
