for the "cx 2000" software are you talking about version 1.2? thats what i'm using, and i have a cable to the computer for it. i'll keep trying on my tail setup, maybe this is why they say 250's tails are tricky...

That's the software for the 3X1000. It will work but since the 3X1000 isn't for multi-rotors and fixed wing aircraft some features are missing. The software for the 3X2000 has more configuration options.

You can get the v2.0 program here

and the manual here

oh thanks! well i updated and got it flying nice again! haha! i noticed my helicopter was much more agile after switching to the new software, most likely just a difference in the settings though. seemed like smoother and more stable. the tail held pretty well also, dialed in it down to 1 point of trim on tail... should work well! i might have try getting a digital tail servo...

One thing I have noticed is the button on the 2000 is not set. If you open it up it is just flat. So some people may try a little goop or poster putty on the button to keep it from vibrating.

so how many members here have this unit installed and flying properly with no quirks ? i have one, but am now waiting on the tarot fbl head [non dfc ]and usb cable . i have no issues with the fly bar assembly , but getting rid of all the extra links ,mixing arms and such is worth the the set up time just for that, if it is reliable and actually works

i would probably say yes, again i haven't had enough time with it to say if its a FNF (fix and fly) before every time out, but when it is dialed in, it sure feels good. the tail doesn't hold like a simulator's, but i think its pretty good for a real helicopter. also i fly a 250 size, so its going to the worst for the tail by far, if you have a 450 or bigger i bet it would perform much better.

ill be able to try it in a week or so , or i might try it with a converted fly bar head before the tarot one arrives ,[ on a 450 pro clone ]

I got hold of the CPX DFC head.
It looks kinda okay with good workmanship
although if for perfection the Black Angel head and parts are superior
to this one.

I'll have to test this head if it will have any advantage of the original FBL head
although the CofG is far lower with this new head.. it might help in roll and loops...

How is the fit of the head on the mainshaft? That would be fairly critical, since there's just a single jesus bolt holding the head on and no pinch bolts as with say, Tarot and RJX heads.

CX have been selling the CX 3x2000 with the head for $60, though, a pretty good deal if the head is OK.

I just wish that head just didn't include the Phillips screws...

Well it seems to be snuggly fit.with.the stock shaft. But i have not tried flying the heli yet it might loosen when pushed in flight. Ill try to hover the heli tomorrow and see if it will have any flaws
