Little People- first rc?

At what age can you give them the sticks?
I imagine 3 is too young, but he loves bashing with his cousins toy RC cars at the beach.... and he loves my planes.

At 2.5 he was smashing golf balls, I just taught him how to cast and fish, and I really think he can pick this flying stuff up quick.

Logic tells me to wait a little longer, what age do you all try to hook em?

~BMBBQ, at what age did Hunter start flying with you?

I started flying gliders at 7 with my uncle holding the tx and guiding my thumbs. We didn't have a buddy box back in the 70s or at least I didn't.

This is NOT a TOY?

Depends on the kid usually.
I've known kids who would pay attention well enough by 4-5... and some that were 11-12 that couldn't. (Or wouldn't)
Have you let him loose on a sim yet?

I let a guy borrow (gave away) my sim a few years ago to a person who I thought was going to get into the hobby... I was wrong and he disappeared.

I have considered buying another, but in the end there is no substitute for real stick time and I would rather invest the $150-$200 into batteries or another airframe.

Futaba question: Can a Futaba 10C on 2.4 buddy with a 9c on 72? My 9c is actually on DragonLink, if that makes a difference.

You will need to check the manual. I went to buddy box my 8fg with a 9cap and could not do it without a 50 cable.

Like Watkins said really depends on the kid, if they are interested they will listen to you but lots that age just slam sticks around and not understand whats going on
