If I put this heli on floats later would I have probs with nano inches from water landing on floats? RX gettin wet etc?

Don't land in the water. The Nano's have a conformal coating to protect it from water, but it's a "water resistant" coating, not a "water proof" coating.

My friend Dave Acton put an XPS Nano in a small Black Bullet. The receiver is powered by a single cell LiPo. The model is powered by a rubber band.
The transmitter is a Tony Stillman conversion.

That's brilliant!

There could be no greater accomplishment in the hobby than to speck that thing out on rubber power and then bring it back under rc control.

It demonstrates how light the Nano is (pinless) and how minimal its power needs are.

That is super neat! Thank you for sharing!

A single cell Lipo completely dead can still power the Nano due to its low operational voltage of 1.8v to 16v.

It has been done before but the Nano allows one to build the smaller version and keep everything internal.
DoMoreMath would benefit from switching to XPS.

I posted that to show how without a Nano, it’s difficult to make anything that small and light properly

That's really cool. How high does the rubber take it on a good launch?

300-400ft. Higher with thermals.
It flies more or less the way it did as
a free flight. The rudder merely
prevents it from going too far down-
wind.
