Hello,
I am not sure. But I had used an extension usb cable to get access to the plane, and I think that was the problem.
That used laptop computer I have been meaning to buy for about a year showed up, and with just the usb cable and no extension worked perfectly.

Hi Guys
Can someone explain to me how 3D mode is different from stabilization mode?
As i see the 3D mode allow 3D maneuvers and if you let go the sticks it level the plane.
Is this correct?

Stabilization is for "normal" flight. It assists flight and automatically adjusts for wind etc.

For example if the left wing raises it will "feel" this in the accelerometer and gyro and level the wing by giving signal to the Aileron channel. In this case left up,and right down until the DoS gyro is level.

3D mode "holds" a certain attitude of the plane. Another example is a knife edge or inverted move. Once you have the plane in the 3D attitude you want, I believe you center the sticks and it will hold that attitude.

Scroll down and watch the "DoS in Fight" video

I think Wippo's amazing vomit inducing test video is well worth a mention in support of this system.

Final FY-DOS test RTH saves plane from dive or loop (5 min 43 sec)

Prop hanging on a Cessna, interesting! I guess the airplane stalled (hence sharp nose dive) but DoS recovered well.

Thanks for the footage, keep it coming.

3d mode is like a quad without stabilisation It keeps the plane in the attitude you put it in
If it is possible offcourse
It the begining its quite scary so try it only mistakes high

Thanks Guys for all the answers.
Well, i tested all the modes in mi new wing (Zephyr 2) and recorded all (very boring video but with all the information)

In this plane the stabilization mode make it fly like a "board" with the need for a lot of strong imputs.

The 3D mode is a lote more soft but didnīt make any 3D.

The RTL is like a drunk driver but it always return to home (any advice? )

The heading and level mode also drive by a drunk (i guess that if i correct the RTL this will be fixed)

The setup is in factory values and the wind is about 15km/h in that flight

i think that if i raise the gains the RTL will work better, any opinions about that?

FY DOS data Zephyr 2 (18 min 10 sec)

If you raise the gains rth will work better so raise it until the plane starts to wobble
But your input will be less
Maybe you have some strong expo or dualrate setting
What is quite common on a wing

Yes i have expo and dual rate in the wing - a lot.
I also think that if i raise the rates it will work better, i only have afraid that will demand a lot more work from the servos

Because of the dual rate
You have less control in stabilised mode
If you have good servoos there will be no problem for them
Keep us updated about your settings please

Just got info that the DOS will now support multirotor flight via a free firmware upgrade!

X4, Y6, Hexa and Octocopters are all supported...

But they are still working on the manual...
