Are the wings interchangeable from other, or older Skywalkers with this new version Skywalker?? I have a 1900mm wing just built and a 1680mm. I'd like to buy the "Fuselage Only" Version Kit and use my existing wings... Also, is there belly protection available? Lastly, has a clamp or anything been designed to mount a VTx or GPS to the tail boom rod? I saw that mentioned earlier as a suggestion. Thanks!

The old wings are compatible with the new Skywalker. At least 1880 and 1900 (can't confirm 1680 but they shouldn't be any different)

Just wondering also if BEVRC has that 'belly protection' skid?

thanks

p.s.
FPVmodel sells it with the Condor 1880mm Sport Wing,
while BEVRC sells it with the Glider 1900mm Wing.....

arrrrh, choices choices

raRaRa,
when you assemble it, can you let us know if the tail end has the shakes (flimsy, wobble)?
and if you notice a significant difference in flight characterstics?
There seems to be on Vids' out yet....

A buddy of mine is making a laser cut wooden platform for the VTX to go on the CF rod. He is just waiting on me to give him the CF rod dimensions. I'm sure he will make more if anyone is wants one. I think he will also do one out of plastic using a 3D printer. I'll post some pics once he has something.

Bevrc site says the boom is 20mm. I'll take two platforms, if they are well made....

Thanks, I sent it to him and he said he will see what he can come up with tonight.

Is this going to be the main thread for the new Skywalker or should we start up a new one?

raRaRa, I would like to compare what comes with the BEVRC kit with what I get from fpvmodel. Other than the different wing type. Mine was shipped yesterday.

1900mm WingSpan....

It's probably EPO. If my package arrives faster then I'll make sure to let you know ;-)

One question though, I ordered this motor: "AX2820 motor-special customed for X8"

It's advertised as 730KV motor but on the rc4y website it's advertised as 780KV motor.
Anyway, I'm wondering what prop would be best for this motor. I actually ordered 12x6 folding prop from BEVRC, hopefully it'll fit on the new Skywalker since they advertise it can hold max 12 inch prop. I'm also thinking about maximum performance, is there some calculator that I can use to find what prop I should use for 730kv or 780kv motor?

Thanks!

raRaRa

I have this and plan on using it:

2820 800Kv
http://epbuddy.com/index.php?main_pa...roducts_id=187

APCe 12x6 and 12x8 prop.
4s 5700mah flight Lipo.
ESC 60amp.

p.s.
This power setup is exactly the same on my SkyHunter. It goes unlimited vert
It maybe too a bit much power, since I'm sure SkyWalker is a lot lighter in weight.

Its also nice that the tail section is a conventional X-Tail, not the older T-Tail where it had some sort of 'incidence' on it (it was sort of flying with a 'up' elevator all the time).

Nice

Do you think its bad idea to use a folding prop? I'm mostly worried that it will fold up in the center and get stuck there.
