HK Board V2.1 issue

I finally have my quad setup and am testing it.

I'm using X-config and noticing my M4 channel responds only to throttle. The other channels seem fine and are responding as they should to board orientation. I have the pots all set to 50%. I'm using LazyZero's X config. I moved the ESC connector that was on to M4 to M3 and the M3 to the M4 to verify the issue is on the control board. I did accidentally put the connector on M4 backwards once (signal wire on the outboard). Would that brick the board? Do I need to reflash? Or could it be something else?

AVR Dude
What version of code are you running?

Never mind, I found the answer. It's an inherent issue with Kaptenincuk's (not Lazyzero) control board flashing code for the 4.7 series. It's colloquially now referred to as the "lazy M4".

Actually, it's not a problem with KK's code, it's a limitation of the AVR processor. The original KK board uses the internal clock oscillator on the chip and it's just not very accurate. Mostly it works, but it varies a bit with supply voltage and temperature and varies between chips too.

If you find you need heaps of trim to get your quad flying nicely, then check out pug398's variations that account for common trim problems:

I think some of these are also available in LazyZero's KK flashing tool.

Yes, I am going to try KK47x1540M168 tonight as a matter of fact.
