The plane is very different in the air from the Lite. The Lite is really trying to close the performance gap between EPP and depron, but the mini is in a different class by itself. It is quick and fast paced when you open the throttle, but it can also fly slow and precise when you want it to. Combined with the fact that it eats up less space, it's pretty much my favorite practice airplane at the moment, for indoors or the backyard. The original concept behind the Crack Yak was a "Pocket Rocket" for practicing Xtreme Aerobatics, and the mini takes that philosophy to the next level.

So my wife said she already bought my Christmas gifts, so I don't know when I'll get to order one of these little boogers.... although, my dancing around the house, jumping, kicking, screaming, and giggling like a little school girl last night while I was showing her videos and pics of the Mini might have almost convinced her to tell me "just order it".... lol... Hopefully soon!

Damn you guys crack me up!

Just don't go running around in a school girls uniform when you fly it.

HK USA warehouse has nano 180's with the proper connector for $3.83.

I have plenty of batteries in that ranges but they have the beast style connectors.

What kind of flight times can we expect with a 180 or 250mah? Are they capable of a 4-5minute flight on these packs? What battery weight should we try to look for (or stay under)?

250 is the upper limit. Flying as crazy as I can I get maybe 4 minutes on the 250's. Propping down to a 6x3 and doing normal 3D (harriers, hovers, etc.) you will probably get closer to 5.

Nope, 180's are fine.

In this size, you can use a cheap little parallel board and charge a few sets of good batteries at 5C. With this arrangement you can pretty much fly continuously and the flight times don't really matter as much.

I tested batteries from 120s all the way to 450s. The plane will handle all of them but the sweet spot is the 150-250 range.
