I like the Sunbird 60".. Fast plane that flys well in a wide range of conditions......reacts well to ballast.

Spider 60 carbon is a killer deal! The wing is really stiff and flies in light to heavy conditions. Ocelot and banana are also awesome, great fit and finish. My dad has a carbon sunbird and its nice but on the first landing at point of the mountain the fuse seam split!

building season is here.

I like the Genesis from aloft hobbies and the Ocelot from susa.

The mint terminator is good, but pricey and a tough build.

The prodij is probably the newest tech out there but the build is redicuolus everything is super thin or skinny, ballast is not set up is not very adjustable or easy to use and pricy too.

When I was flying my Banana back in 2005 a friend had an Ocelot... I always felt it was flimsy and not even close to the Banana in performance.

Is the Ocelot upgraded now days or what?

I flew a 'glass Mini Blade for a couple of years before moving into the bigger ships and can vouch for its speed. Sold it on but would buy another (only with flaps and 2-piece wing) in a heartbeat.

I've got a Sunbird on the bench but from memory the MB has a thinner RG15 section than this so I'd be surprised if it's as quick.

The MB had freakish energy retention even un-ballasted especially noticeable when turning back into wind on days when the wind was slightly off-centre to the slope.

I've seen a blade fly too, it did much better then my Banana. I think it was the 2meter carbon version. Might have been piloting skills too as I'm not that familiar with slopeing.

Go with the wing ballast, dead easy, and adds plenty enough weight for the very skinny wings.
Build is then drop a couple of MKS 6100 into wings - easy.
Mount servos on fuselage plate - easy

Link up flap and set flap horn - trickier.

worth the trouble.....
