I have the BNF (DX6i) so cant comment on the RTF radio. The heli itself is very stable, the gyro is awsome and the tail holds very good. Its my first heli btw and i can say thats its my best RC purchase i have made ! Its so much fun and durable.

I dont do 3D yet so i have no experience on how it behaves in that aspect but from what i have seen its great in that area too.

If it is your first cp I would get the mcpx. I have both and got the nano first and it is a lot of fun but the mcpx is much more stable for normal flight. The nano does flip over a lot easier but is squirley until you get used to it. I use dx6i for both, I have read that the rtf controller is preprogrammed with pretty aggressive curves so would again be good for 3d but not normal flight unless you are a pro.

I have the BNF version Also had a Mcpx and others ...
The Nano can be a hand full at first even at +40 Expo !! really all FBL are stable but some are way more responsive then others , the Nano is very responsive and that's why it's easyer to do 3Dstuff in a small area .
The Mcpx is more mellow some say even too stable...

I just got a nano for my birthday yesterday and will say the Tx is ok to get started but I'm hoping to get a DX6i for christmas. It does the job but dont let you fine tune for better results. If this is your first heli I would say to start with something else as the nano is very active so you need to stay on top of it at all times. Sure is alot of fun and after 10 flights I am able to hover a full batt tail in with no crashes..
