I use 8-32 pressure taps on the 60 size motors

For tank position flexibility, I've been interested in running the 10 mm carb with a Perry backplate pump. I'm not sure whether these are more VP20 like or VP30 like but I've assumed it's a direct pressure feed VP30 conveniently located on the backplate - OS style.

That said, it sounds like there is no "fuel issue" combining the two. I question whether the carbs might "spit" fuel if overdriven, so to speak. Likewise with the OPS carbs and RE red Ursus and gold Super engines. OPS has both 8 (or 8.5) and 9 mm carbs.

Fact is, I intend to use these engines on a Deception (Rossi) and Arrow (OPS), respectively.

PS By the way, you're not saying you can get a 3+2 to turn an APC 12x9 at over 17K are you? I think Rossi suggests they can tach a 3 port two piece case old style RE at over 17K on an 11x7.5.

Hello, I've been following this thread, pretty interesting. I have a Rossi 60 FIRE black head 3+2 one piece case engine and I am wondering what prop to use on it. Are people calling this engine a long stroke?
I also have a Rossi 60 silver head side exhaust engine, is this a short stroke?

Better late then never. Sorry for not posting these sooner.
One is a silver head, one is a black head side exhaust and one is a black head rear exhaust. All have one piece crankcases.

I think the silver head is a short stroke. The back plate is smaller in diameter then the black heads.

The black head rear exhaust manual says it is a 3+2.

I would appreciate any information/performance that people with these engine have.

Thank you.
