It isn't Christmas Trees that some are going after, it is just the Christ part of the mas. If it were a Mastree, of a Satanmasstree, or even a Isamastree, it would all be fine. The tree is innocent and Christ needs to keep being removed from the word since it is quite obvious His Crucifixion, death, and burial didn't do the trick for those who would have the world free of the Prince of Peace. Once the prince of the earth can get people to believe Christ was a divisive figure, then that prince will be happy for a while.

This was the perfect time for this OP

Seriously. I'm sick of the obviously pc "happy holidays". I saw a commercial that said "when you ask your kid what they want for the holidays...". No one asks for new years gifts. They say "I want a bike for Christmas". It's downright silly to say otherwise. You don't have to be a Christian to celebrate or say merry christmas. It's been so twisted from its original meaning that it really doesn't matter anymore. If someone tells me merry Christmas, I would never assume they were a Christian or cerebrating Christ birth. I'd just think they were being friendly. And these days I'd be happy they weren't bound by political correctness.

It's not just the Christians they are after...

On Tuesday, Tarzana-based JB Partners Group Inc. sent a memo to staff at The Willows senior apartment building demanding they take down Christmas trees and menorahs in communal areas.
Another thread busted...

What a laugh anyways, "Christmas" trees are not of Christian origin, they are of pagan origin. At any rate, Christmas is a commercial holiday any more, religion has less and less to do with it.

Yes, let's put Christ back in Christmas and move it back to some time in april/march when the nativity was most likely to have actually happened. Let the pagans have their "yule" back.

The Christians can have their celebrations when they want, its their religion.
There are many different religious celebrations around the Winter solstice, Christmas works as a name, because of tradition, I know the USA has not been around long enough to get many traditions, but Christmas is a good one.
Trees, lights, carols, nativity scenes, readings from the bible and expressions of love and friendship, ALL good.
I have no problem with doing my best not to offend people of other religions, or those who do not believe, but that goes both ways, people of other beliefs should not be offended by Christian expressions of belief.
Now give those old folk their bloody tree back.
