Thanks Hover or die! Your Scorpion looks awsome.

to cut the rotor i used a compas and drew out the 25mm on the back then cut it with nail clipers ( it was the perfect shap) then i attached it to a 1230 4200kv inrunner and ran it up and sanded it to shap with a piece of 600grip sand paper i glued to a flat surface.

ill be doing the same thing to a gws rotor, ill make a video it was easy.

Chester, do you have the skills to solder on a new fet?
I got so good at frying Phoenix 10's, I also got really good at replacing the fet's too.

High pole motors need low switching frequency as you have now discovered.

What name or type of fets are they, both the N and P? Or do you have a link.
I got a headache trying to reading what type of fets those are and i cant find my microfine glass.

This how far ive got today
The inlet ducting isnt complet yet, the exhaust cone is 25mm-20mm and 50mm long it wont fit if its the full lentgh ive tried every thing to try to fit a full one but i would need to remove to much foam.

When i run it up it makes an awful scream i think its the cone vibrating. Maybe going up to a 85-90% exit on the tail cone. I'll post a video of it in the morning (it will be easy now that its mounted).

I took off the thrust tube and that wasnt it. What i found is the control linkage is amplifying the vibration in the fan, so since this is a very large outrunner im gonna balance it by puting tape on the outside of the motor case.

I pulled the rotor off to balance it and it felt and sounded very balanced so i was thinking the motor its self was not balanced so i ran it up to listen to it and it sounded like it was grinding somthing so i loosened the screws think it was rubbing and i ran it up again and saw sparks comming from the motor so i took the motor out and opened it up and one of the magnets was broken in half and the other half so now im gonna have to find these magnets some where . Im wondering if it has always been like that since the rotor was always balanced.
Im thinking about getting the GP 1015 and using that on 3s but im not sure it will be enough to fly this jet, i might have to do dual EDF's ?

Quick question about those servos: I have some on the way for my boats. Are those better than the older orange version in any way?

Ive never used the 1.7gr orange ones but so far these are holding up to 5 volts just fine ive not flown with them but im not worried about it.
