Welcome to RCG

welcome and good luck with the hobby , sometimes it can be good and others time it will seem frustrating you dont need to spend a fortune to get many hours of enjoyment from this hobby , there are many people out there willing to give help to youngsters , to help guide them along the route of success , good luck and as a friend of mine one said --- never give up especially when inverted .

take a look at my blog

Yup, that's a wheel from a small GWS brand aircraft. They're nicknamed "daisy cart" wheels because of their resemblance to the wheels on an old-fashioned flower cart.

PS: THX, I miss the VWs I used to have. '66 Kombi and a '72 standard Beetle. My brother had a '72 Super. A friend of mine has a '65 Beetle and a super nice '60 double-cab pickup.

Anytime. I've gone through two GWS Formosa foam fliers and I'm on my third. GREAT model, not much money...but not for beginners.

I swapped out the "daisy cart" wheels for some foam wheels with aluminum hubs off of a long-departed Ultrafly Cessna 182. Looks better without a weight penalty. If I ever replace this Formosa, those wheels are going on it.

Here are some Formosas. The one on the ground is mine. The inverted flying model has the daisy cart wheels.

Glad ya like. That model is proof that you can have a lot of fun with the hobby without spending a lot of money. The airframe is less than $60, but it's just that, a bare airframe.
