I like smaller Blade models. But, in the 400 size and beyond they have a lot to prove. Their prices have never been attractive, their designs are nothing special, servos are poor quality and the motors seize. I don't see a lot that sets them apart from many of the Align clones. As for the Blade SR, that's just a repackaging of the old CP Pro, which was always a dog. Kind of like putting frosting on manure. But, you can't judge them based on this model.

i feel ya on the smaller models and can relate to you on the servos to not at good as they can be for the price you pay i havnt flown any thing else ive had my eye on a trex 250 fbl for awhile now i guess the only reason ive flown balde is cuz my hobby shop has that and some other brands as well but like you said balr14 the smaller ones they have down any thing bigger almost sucks

im for big helis my "small" heli is a 500
and im saving for a 700 or bigger next

flying a T-rex 500ESP and Compass 6HV right now might move the gear in the 500 to an Atom 5.5

i cant see Blade making any thing bigger then a 450 really work for them with so many other good 500 and bigger helis that cheaper and have cheaper parts and im not even talking about clones
you can build an Atom 500 for the cost of a RTF 500X and the T-rex 500E supercombo is cheaper then the Blade 500 BnF

ok i hear you, im not against big helis at all i have a 450 hausler, i guess its just comes down to what brand you want, some are chep some are not...ive thought of building a heli from the ground up like i said earlier i like the trex250...who knows maybe blade took some ideas from align and put it to good use.

250 is a bad heli for a first build every thing on its TINY a 500 would be better for that since you can see what your doing

and take a look at Compass very under rated and great support around them on line and from dealers

i did notice how small the 250 is and i agree too when i work on my 130x it can be frustrating dealing with them small parts you need small hands lol..so compass huh might look into that

the Atom 500 is a tank and parts are cheap and it can be converted to a 550 for cheap just boom belt and blades

After 20+ years of being in this great hobby, I have accumulated a fair collection of birds.

I have a number of small electric helis, from fixed pitch micros to T450's, but they now are mostly used for indoor flying in the winter.

The helis in my fleet that see the most stick time are my bigger ones, 550 nitro and electric, 600 to 640 sized nitros and electrics, 700 sized nitro and bigger gasoline fueled helis.

My current favorites are both electrics, my Century Swift NX on 6S and Radikal E640 on 12S. This winter I hope to get another E640 and stretch it for use with 690mm blades.

I like blade as a company, they have great support and customer service. but I have not been able to love any of their helicopters.

I currently have a:
Trex 450 Sport
Walkeria Genius CP
WL V911 - My starter heli
and I have a Trex 250 pro fbl super combo that I am building.

RFDelie.. I agree with you, ive had to call the blade people to ask for help or why is this do that, and they have been very helpful to me and nice. But they only have a hand full of helis that are good. keep in mind i havnt flown their 300x or 450 but their smaller models are nice and just fun...
